The Friends of the Lady Lake Library is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to providing support for the services and resources of the library.

Activities of the Friends of the Library include the running of the Book Sale Room, fund raising projects, helping with publicity activities, attending planning meetings and assisting the librarian and staff.

Some of the accomplishments of the Friends have included:  purchase of copy machines, computers, printers, special books, special equipment for the new library, and encyclopedias.  The Friends continually provide funds toward Children and Youth Programs at the Library and most of the Friends funds go toward these programs.  A recent Friends project included the purchase of 4 patron access computers to replace old, worn out computers.

Anyone interested can become a Friend of the Library.  The Friends' Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. in the meeting room of the library.  All interested individuals are invited to attend.  We need your help and valuable ideas to improve services and allow the library to continue to grow.
Contact Mary McIntyre, Friends President, at 352-753-2957 for more information.
